A friend does not ask about a friend.
On the Day of Resurrection, friendship and kinship will disappear between the disbelievers:
The Ornaments of Gold/43:67
On that Day close friends will be enemies to one another, except the righteous.

The mountains will be like discarded wool.

They will be shown to one another. The guilty will want to give a ransom to escape the torment of that Day: His sons,

Your wife, your brother,
The Ways of Ascent/70:13
All his relatives who raised him,
The Ways of Ascent/70:14
And everyone who is on the earth, that he may be saved.
