بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
11:61 "And to Thamud sent their brother Salih. He said: "O my people, serve Allah, there is no god but Him. It is He who brought you out of the earth and created you and settled you therein. So seek forgiveness from Him and then turn to Him. Surely my Lord is Near, the Answerer."
11:62 "They said: "O Salih, before this you were a popular source of hope among us. Do you now forbid us from what our forefathers used to serve? We are in doubt about what you call us to."
11:63 "He said: "O my people, what if I have a clear proof from my Lord and He has given me mercy from Him? Who can save me from Allah if I rebel against Him? You can only increase my losses?"
11:64 O my people, this camel of Allah is a sign for you. Let it graze on Allah´s land. Do not harm him. Otherwise a close torment will seize you.
11:65 "But they slaughtered him with torture. "You have three days to live in your land. This is a promise that is not a lie."
11:66 When Our Command came, We saved Salih and those who believed with him from the disgrace of that day with a Mercy from Us. Your Lord is surely Mighty and Powerful.
11:67 The wrongdoers were seized by a terrible sound and they collapsed in their homes.
11:68 It was as if they had never lived there. Indeed the people of Thamud disobeyed their Lord; Thamud was destroyed.
11:69 "When Our messengers brought the good news to Abraham, they said: "Peace be upon you". He said, "Peace be upon you!"and immediately he presented (to them) a roasted calf."
11:70 "When he saw that their hands did not reach out to him, he did not like their condition; a fear fell upon him. "Do not be afraid,"they said, "We have been sent to Lot´s people."
11:71 When his standing wife laughed, We gave him (Abraham) the glad tidings of Isaac and Jacob after Isaac.
11:72 "Woe to me,"she said, "am I to bear a child while I am an old woman and my husband is an old man? This is a very strange thing!"
11:73 "They said, "Do you wonder at Allah´s work?"They said, "Allah´s mercy and blessings are upon you, O people of the house. He is the Most Praiseworthy, the Exalted of the Exalted."
11:74 When the fear left Abraham and he was given this good news, he began to argue with us about the people of Lot.
11:75 Indeed, Abraham was very mild, very sensitive and always turned (to God).
11:76 Give it up, Abraham. The command of your Lord has come; they are doomed to an unavoidable torment.
11:77 "When Our messengers came to Lot, they were mistreated. This troubled (Lot) and he said (to himself), "This will be a hard day"."
11:78 "His people came running to him; they were habitual sinners. "O my people, here are my daughters, they are purer for you. Honor Allah and do not disgrace me before my guests. Is there not a sane man among you?"
11:79 "You know that we have no need of your daughters. You know well what we want,"they said."
11:80 "(Lot said:) "If only I had power over you or powerful friends"."
