بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
11:81 "(The angels) said: "O Lot,"they said, "We are the messengers of your Lord. They cannot touch you. Take your family for a walk at night, and let none of you look back, except your wife. What will befall the others will befall her. Their appointed time is the morning. Is the morning not near?"
11:82 And when Our Command came, We brought its top to its bottom, and We rained down on them hardened stones in layers.
11:84 "And to Median We sent their brother Shu´ayb. He said: "O my people, serve Allah, you have no god but Him. Do not keep the measure and the weighing deficient. I see you in prosperity and I fear for you the torment of an encompassing Day."
11:85 O my people, measure and weigh exactly with justice. Do not shortchange the people and do not commit evil by corrupting the earth.
11:86 What Allah has left (lawful) is better for you if you believe. I am not a watchman over you.
11:87 "They said: "Shu´ayb, does your prayer require us to give up what our ancestors used to serve or to turn our trade as we wish? You are indeed mild-tempered and wise."
11:88 "My people,"he said, "look, what if I have a clear proof from my Lord and He has bestowed upon me a good favor from Himself? It is not because I wish to go against you that I forbid you certain things. I only want to reform you to the best of my ability, and my success is only from Allah. I trust in Him and turn to Him."
11:89 My people, do not let your opposition to me bring upon you a calamity like that which befell the people of Noah, or the people of Hud, or the people of Salih. Moreover, the people of Lot are not far from you.
11:90 Ask forgiveness from your Lord, then repent to Him. Surely my Lord is Most Merciful, Loving.
11:91 "Shu´ayb,"they said, "we do not understand much of what you say. Moreover, we consider you weak among us. If it were not for your tribe, we would have stoned you. You have no superiority over us."
11:92 "He said: "O my people, is my tribe superior to Allah that you have turned away from Him? My Lord is the Surrounder of all that you do."
11:93 "He said: "My people, do what you can, and I will do it, and you will know in the future to whom the humiliating torment will come and who is a liar. Wait in hope, and I wait in hope with you."
11:94 When Our Command came, We saved Shu´ayb and those who believed with him by a Mercy from Us. A terrible noise seized the wrong-doers; they fell down in their homes.
11:95 As if they had never lived there. As Thamud was destroyed, so was Madinah destroyed.
11:96 And We sent Moses with Our signs (miracles and revelation) and with a clear authority.
11:97 To Pharaoh and his council. But they followed the command of Pharaoh. And Pharaoh´s command was not wise.
11:98 On the Day of Resurrection, he will lead his people and take them into the Fire. What an evil place they will enter!
11:99 A curse will follow them here and in the Hereafter. What an evil gift is the gift they receive!
11:100 What We have related to you is the news of those cities. Some of them are still standing and some of them have been slaughtered.
