بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
12:41 My fellow prisoners, one of you will offer wine to his Lord, and the other will be crucified and the birds will eat his head. The matter you are asking about has been resolved.
12:42 "He said to the one of the two whom he predicted to be saved, "Remember me with your Lord."The devil made him (Joseph) forget the remembrance of his Lord, so he remained in prison for a few more years."
12:43 "The king said: "In my dream I see seven fat cows and seven lean cows eating them, and seven green and seven dry ears. O elite, if you can interpret dreams, unravel this dream for me."
12:44 These are confused dreams. We do not know the interpretation of such dreams.
12:45 "The one of the two who was saved remembered after a long time and said, "If you send me (to Joseph), I will tell you the interpretation of it."
12:46 "(He went to the dungeon and said:) "Joseph, my dear friend, give us an explanation about the seven fat cows eaten by the seven lean cows, and the seven green and dry ears, so that I may inform the people."
12:47 "He said: "What you have sown for seven years, leave it in its ears and store it, except for a little of it that you eat."
12:48 Then seven dry (years) will follow it, and it will devour what you have stored up for those years, except a little of what you have stored up.
12:49 And after that will come a year in which the people will be refreshed, and in which they will press (fruit) and milk (animals).
12:50 "The king said, "Bring him to me."When the messenger came to him (Joseph) said, "Go back to your Lord and ask him about the women who cut off their fingers. Surely my Lord knows their schemes."
12:51 "(The king said to the women:) "What was your condition when you tried to seduce Joseph?"The women said, "God forbid; we saw no evil in him."Then the governor´s wife said: "The truth has now come out. I tried to lead him astray; he speaks the truth."
12:52 I hope he knows that I have not betrayed him behind his back, for God does not approve the plans of traitors.
12:53 I do not plead innocence; surely the ego desires evil. I hope only for the mercy of my Lord; my Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.
12:54 "The king said: "Bring him, and I will appoint him to work for me."When he spoke to him, he said, "You are now a trustworthy man who has an important position with us today."
12:55 "He said: "Put me in charge of the country´s finances. Surely I am a good guardian and a good judge."
12:56 So We established Joseph in that land, and he could move as he pleased. We shower Our mercy on whom We will. We do not leave those who do good without reward.
12:57 Surely the reward in the Hereafter is better for those who believe and do righteous deeds.
12:58 Joseph´s brothers came and entered his presence, and he recognized them, but they did not recognize him.
12:59 "When he had their burdens prepared, he said: "Bring your brother from your father´s side. Do you not see that I am accurate in measuring and weighing and a good host?"
12:60 If you do not bring him to me, do not expect from me anything to be measured or weighed, and do not approach me.
