بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
12:61 "They said: "We will try to convince his father about him. Surely we will try to do so."
12:62 "(Joseph) ordered his subordinates: "Put the articles of barter in their burdens so that they may find them when they return to their families."
12:63 "When they returned to their father, they said, "O our father,"they said, "We are forbidden provisions henceforth. Send our brother with us so that we may buy provisions. We will protect him."
12:64 "They said, "As I trusted you for his brother before, should I trust you for him now? Allah is the best Protector and He is the Merciful of the Merciful."
12:65 "When they opened their loads of provisions, they saw that their belongings had been returned to them and said, "O our father, what more do we want? Here our belongings have been returned to us. We can provide for our family, protect our brother and buy another camel load of provisions. This is an easy matter."
12:66 "I will not send him with you unless you give me a firm promise by Allah that you will bring him to me unless you are all surrounded and prevented. When they promised him, he said: "Allah is witness to what we say"."
12:67 "He said: "My children, do not enter through one gate, but enter through different gates. But I cannot save you from what Allah has predetermined. Only Allah is the Judgment. I have trusted in Him, and those who trust should trust in Him."
12:68 They entered from the places their fathers had commanded them. This could not save them from any of Allah´s decrees, but Jacob had a special reason for asking them to do so. He had a certain knowledge which We had taught him, but most of the people do not know.
12:69 "When they entered Joseph´s presence, he drew his brother close to him and said, "I am your brother; do not grieve over what they have done."
12:70 "When he had prepared their provisions, he put a water jar in his brother´s sack. Then a voice called out: "O caravan, you are thieves."
12:72 We have lost the king´s water bowl. Whoever brings it back will be rewarded with a camel´s load. I guarantee it.
12:73 "They said: "By Allah, you know that we have not come to cause mischief in this land, nor are we thieves."
12:74 "They said: "Then what is the punishment for that if you are lying?"
12:75 "Its punishment,"they said, "is that whoever finds it in his bag shall be detained. This is how We punish the wrongdoers."
12:76 (Joseph) started from their burdens before his brother´s burden, and then he took the water-pot out of his brother´s burden. We had taught Joseph such a plan. Had he followed the king´s law, he could not have detained his brother, except if Allah willed. We raise whom We will in degrees. Above every knower is a better knower.
12:77 "They said, "If he stole, his brother had stolen before."Joseph said to them: "You are indeed evil. Allah knows the truth of what you are telling"."
12:78 "They said: "Your Highness, he has a father who is very old; take one of us in his place. We see that you are one of the righteous."
12:79 "He said: "We seek refuge with Allah from detaining anyone except the one with whom we find our belongings, then we shall be of the wrongdoers."
12:80 "When they despaired of him, they went aside to consult. The elders said: "Do you not know that your father has taken a promise from you in the name of Allah, and that you have already transgressed in the case of Joseph? I will not leave this place until my father gives me permission or until Allah judges for me. He is the Best Judge."
