بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
2:281 Beware of the Day when you will be returned to Allah. Everyone will be paid for what he has earned without injustice.
2:282 Believers! When you lend each other money for a certain term, write it down. Let a scribe from among you write it down with justice. Let not the scribe refrain from writing as Allah has taught him. And let the borrower dictate it. Let him fear Allah, his Lord, and not be dishonest in it. If the borrower is incompetent, or helpless, or incapable of dictating, his guardian should dictate with justice. And let two witnesses from your men bear witness. If you cannot find two male witnesses, then choose a man and two women from among the witnesses of your choice, so that if one of the women is mistaken, the other may remind her, and the witnesses should not hesitate when they are called. Do not hesitate to write it down, whether it is a little or a lot, with the date of payment. This is more just in the sight of Allah, and it is better for testimony, and it is more suitable so that you may not be in doubt. But if the trade is in cash, there is no harm in not writing it down. Let there be witnesses when you trade. Do not harm either the writer or the witness. Otherwise you will do evil to yourselves. Listen to Allah. Allah is teaching you. Allah knows everything.
2:283 If you are traveling and cannot find a scribe, send a promissory note or a receipt to guarantee payment. If you trust each other in this way, let the holder of the promissory note make the payment on time and honor Allah, his Lord. Do not conceal testimony. Whoever conceals it is sinful in his heart. Allah knows all that you do.
2:284 To Allah belongs what is in the heavens and the earth. Whether you reveal what is in you or conceal it, Allah holds you responsible for it. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. Allah is all-powerful.
2:285 "The Messenger believed in what was sent down to him from his Lord, and those who believed. They all believe in Allah, His angels, His Books and His messengers: "We make no distinction between any of His messengers."They say: "We have heard and obeyed. Our Lord, forgive us; to You is the return."
2:286 "Allah burdens each person only up to his capacity. The good that each person earns is for his own benefit and the evil that he earns is for his own loss. "Our Lord, do not hold us responsible if we forget or err! Our Lord, do not burden us with burdens as You burdened those before us! Our Lord, do not burden us with what we are not able to bear; forgive us and have pity on us! You are our Mawla (master and sovereign). Help us against the community of disbelievers!"
