بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
2:261 The example of those who spend their money in the Way of Allah is like that of a grain which yields seven ears of grain, one hundred in each. Allah gives in multiples to whomever He wills. Allah is Generous, Knowing.
2:262 Those who spend their money in the Way of Allah, and then do not retaliate for their good deeds, they shall have their reward with their Lord. There is no fear or sorrow for them.
2:263 A kind word and forbearance is better than charity which is followed by dishonorable treatment. Allah is Rich, Compassionate.
2:264 Believers! Do not waste your charity by insulting and persecuting, like the one who does not believe in Allah and the Last Day but gives charity to show off to the people. The example of such behavior is like a rock on which dust has accumulated so that a heavy downpour leaves it bare. They will gain nothing from what they have done. Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.
2:265 The example of those who spend their money because they want to earn Allah´s pleasure and they are convinced of it is like the example of a high-yielding garden which yields double its produce when it receives abundant rain, and is content with the dew even if it does not receive abundant rain. Allah sees what you do.
2:266 Would any of you like to have gardens under which rivers flow, gardens of dates and grapes with all kinds of fruits and children in need of care, but old age strikes him and a fiery whirlwind strikes his garden and burns it to the ground? Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may reflect.
2:267 Believers, give as charity from what you have earned and from what We have brought forth for you from the earth. And do not try to give as charity your ill-gotten wealth, which if it were given to you, you would only accept it with your eyes closed. Know that Allah is Rich, Praiseworthy.
2:268 Satan promises you poverty and commands evil. Allah, on His part, promises forgiveness and grace for you. Allah is Generous, All-Knowing.
2:269 He gives wisdom to whom He wills. To whomsoever wisdom is given, great favor has been done to him. None takes admonition except the owners of thought.
2:270 Allah knows every economic help you give and every offering you make. The wrongdoers have no helper.
2:271 How good it would be if you revealed your charity. But it is better if you hide them and give them to the needy, and that will cover some of your sins. Allah is aware of what you do.
2:272 It is not for you to guide them to the truth. But Allah guides whom He wills. Whatever good you do to the needy is for your own benefit. Your charity should be for Allah alone. Whatever good you do will be repaid to you in full. You will not be wronged.
2:273 Give to the needy who have been deprived of the opportunity to migrate because of their work in the way of Allah. Those who do not know them think that they are rich because of their dignity. You recognize them by their faces. They do not beg for help from the people. Allah knows every good deed you do.
2:274 Those who give their money day and night, secretly and openly for charity, their reward is with their Lord. There is no fear for them and they will not grieve.
2:275 "Those who eat usurious money rise up like one who is struck by the devil. This is because they say, "Usury is like shopping". But Allah has made shopping lawful and usury unlawful. And whoever receives a reminder from his Lord and desists, he may keep what he has earned in the past, and his affair is up to Allah. As for those who continue, they are the inhabitants of Hell, and they will abide therein forever."
2:276 Allah condemns usury and supports charity. Allah does not love any sinful ingrate.
2:277 Those who believe and lead a virtuous life and observe the prayer and pay the zakat, their reward is with their Lord. There is no fear for them and they will not grieve.
2:278 O you who believe, if you really believe, listen to Allah and abandon all forms of usury.
2:279 If you do not do so, expect a war from Allah and His Messenger. If you repent, your principal is yours again. Do not be wronged nor be wronged.
2:280 If (the debtor) is in hardship, wait until there is ease. It is better for you if you forgive the debt as gratuitous charity, if you only knew.
