بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
2:121 Those who follow the Book which We have given them properly will believe in it (the Qur´an), but those who disbelieve will lose.
2:122 Children of Israel, remember My favor which I have bestowed upon you and that I have bestowed upon you more than any other people.
2:123 Beware of a Day when no one will be able to pay anything to anyone, and no ransom will be taken from anyone, and no intercession will avail anyone, and help will be cut off.
2:124 "His Lord once tested Abraham with some words, and he added to them: "I will make you a leader of mankind,"(God) said. And when he said, "And from my descendants?", He said, "The wrongdoers will not be included in My Word"."
2:125 "We have made the Ka´bah a focal point for the people and a place of safety. Use the seat of Abraham as a place of prayer. "We commissioned Abraham and Ishmael to keep My House clean for the visitors and those who devote themselves to worship and those who bow down and prostrate themselves."
2:126 "Ibrahim said, "My Lord, make this a place of safety. Provide for your people who believe in Allah and the Last Day with crops,"when he said, "I will provide for the disbeliever. I will provide for him for a short time, then I will condemn him to the punishment of the Fire. What an evil abode is that!"
2:127 "Abraham was raising the foundations of the house (the Ka´bah) with Ishmael: "Our Lord, accept from us, surely You are the Hearing, the Knowing."
2:128 Our Lord, make us both submissive to You (Muslims). And raise up from our progeny a people who submit to you. Show us how to worship You, and accept our turning to You, surely You are the Accepting, the Merciful.
2:129 Our Lord, send from among them a messenger who will recite to them Your Verses, teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them. You are Exalted, Wise.
2:130 None turns away from the religion of Abraham except the one who deceives himself. We chose him in this world, and in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.
2:131 "When his Lord said to him, "Submit,"he replied, "I have submitted to the Lord of the Universes."
2:132 "Abraham and later Jacob advised their children: "My children! Allah has chosen this religion for you; die as Muslims."
2:133 "If you had been witnesses when Jacob died. He asked his children, "Whom will you serve after me?"They said, "We will serve the only God, the God of your God and the God of your fathers Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac, and to Him we are the submissive ones."
2:134 This is a people of the past! What they earned is theirs and what you earn is yours. You will not be questioned about their deeds.
2:135 "They said: "Become Jews or Christians so that you may be guided". Say: "No, we follow the monotheistic religion of Abraham. He was not of those who associate partners."
2:136 We believe in Allah, in what has been sent down to us, in what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants, in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and in what was given to all the prophets by their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. We are only those who submit to Him.
2:137 If they believe as you believe, they will be guided. If they turn away, they are the opposers. Allah is sufficient for you against them. He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
2:138 "This is the system of Allah! Whose system is better than Allah´s? "To Him alone do we serve."
2:139 Do you dispute with us about Allah, when He is our Lord and your Lord. We are responsible for what we have done and you are responsible for what you have done. We dedicate ourselves to Him alone.
2:140 "Do you claim that Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants were Jews or Christians? Say: "Do you know better or Allah? Who is more unjust than he who conceals what Allah has revealed? Allah is not heedless of what you do."
