بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
2:161 And those who disbelieve and die as disbelievers will earn the curse of Allah, the angels and the people.
2:162 They will remain in that state forever. Their torment will not be lightened nor will it be postponed.
2:163 Your God is one God; there is no god but Him. He is the Most Merciful, the Most Merciful.
2:164 In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, and in the ships that sail in the ocean for the benefit of mankind, and in Allah sending down water from the sky and reviving the earth after its death, and in every kind of living creature He spreads therein, and in the winds and the swirling of the clouds between the sky and the earth, there are indeed signs (lessons and proofs) for a people who use their reason.
2:165 There are those who take others besides Allah as gods and love them as they love Allah. But the believers love Allah most of all. If only those wrong-doers knew that when they see the torment, they will realize that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah´s torment is severe!
2:166 Then the followers will keep away from those who follow them, and they have seen the torment and all ties between them have been severed.
2:167 "Those who follow will say: "If only we had had another chance, we would have shunned them as they now shun us". So Allah turns what they did into regret; they will not be able to come out of the Fire."
2:168 People! Eat of the lawful and pure produce of the earth, and do not follow the steps of Satan; he is an open enemy to you.
2:169 He commands you evil and immorality and that you ascribe to Allah what you do not know.
2:170 "When it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has sent down,"they say, "Nay, we follow the way of our fathers."And even if their forefathers were those who could not think and could not find the right path!"
2:171 The condition of the disbelievers is like that of a person who repeats the words only in the form of shouting and shouting (without understanding). They are deaf, dumb and blind; they do not think.
2:172 Believers, eat of the good of what We have given you. Give thanks to Allah, if you serve Him alone.
2:173 He has forbidden you only carrion, blood, pork and what is slaughtered in the name of none but Allah. Whoever is compelled (to eat them) does not commit a sin, provided he does not seek (a way of abuse) and does not exceed the limit. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
2:174 Those who conceal something from the Book which Allah has sent down and exchange it for a little, they are stuffing fire in their bellies. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection nor purify them. For them is a painful torment.
2:175 They have bought error for guidance and torment for forgiveness. How resistant they are to the fire!
2:176 This is so because Allah has sent down the Book containing the truth, and those who dispute about the Book are indeed in deep disagreement.
2:177 It is not good that you turn your faces towards the east or the west. The righteous are those who believe in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book and the Prophets, and they give freely to relatives, orphans, the needy, the stranded, the beggars, and to free the slaves, and they observe the prayer, and pay the zakat, and keep their word when they contract, and they resist hardship, distress and oppression. It is they who are the righteous, and it is they who are the virtuous.
2:178 Believers! Equality in killing is enjoined upon you. Free for free, slave for slave, woman for woman. But whoever is forgiven by the relatives of the deceased, then he must do what is fitting and pay the dowry well. This is a mitigation and mercy from your Lord. Then whoever transgresses after that, for him is a painful torment.
2:179 In this equality for you is life-saving, O you of understanding, so that you may be protected.
2:180 When death comes near to one of you, it has been enjoined upon him that if he leaves any property, he should bequeath it to his parents and relatives in a fitting manner. This is a duty for the righteous.
