بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
2:41 Believe in what I have sent down confirming what is with you. Do not be the first of those who oppose it. Do not exchange My signs for things of little value; fear Me alone.
2:42 Do not knowingly confuse the truth with falsehood, and do not conceal the truth.
2:43 Observe the prayer, pay the zakat, and bow down with those who bow down.
2:44 Do you forget yourselves when you call the people to do good, and you read the Book, and do you not use your minds?
2:45 Seek help by enduring hardship (patience) and prayer. Surely this is burdensome to the people, except for those who are reverent.
2:46 Indeed they believe that they will meet their Lord and return to Him.
2:47 Children of Israel! Remember My Blessings which I have bestowed upon you and My favoring you above all peoples.
2:48 Beware of a Day when no one will be able to pay for anyone, no intercession will be accepted, no ransom will be taken from anyone and no help will be given.
2:49 We rescued you from the men of Pharaoh who inflicted on you the worst of torture, who left your women and killed your sons. This was a great test from your Lord.
2:50 We saved you by parting the sea and drowned the men of Pharaoh before your eyes.
2:51 We had contracted with Moses for forty nights. But you wronged yourselves after him and served the calf.
2:53 And We gave Moses the Book and the Law so that you might be guided.
2:54 "Moses said to his people: "O My people, you have wronged your nafs (personality, essence, soul) by worshipping/serving the calf. Repent to your Creator and kill your nafs (ego). This is better for you in the sight of your Creator."He will forgive you. Surely He is the Accepter of repentance, the Most Merciful."
2:55 "You once said, "O Moses, we will not believe until we see Allah physically."You were struck by lightning while you were looking about."
2:56 Then We raised you up after your death so that you might give thanks.
2:57 "We shaded you with clouds and sent down for you menna and quail: "Eat of the good provision We have given you."But they did not wrong Us, but only themselves."
2:58 Enter this city. Eat therein abundantly from whatever you wish. Enter the gates humbly and speak in friendship so that We may forgive you your faults. We will give more to those who do good.
2:59 But the wrongdoers among you exchanged the words given to them for other words. Indeed, We sent down a torment from the sky upon the wrongdoers because they went astray.
2:60 "Moses once sought water for his people. We said, "Strike the stone with your staff."Thereupon twelve springs gushed forth from the stone. Each tribe knew the spring allotted for drinking: "Eat and drink of the provision of Allah, and do not go about in the earth making mischief."
