68:1
By Allah and the pen and what they write.
نٓ وَالْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَۙ
|
68:2
You are not insane by the Blessing of your Lord.
مَٓا اَنْتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُونٍۚ
|
68:3
For you is an uninterrupted reward.
وَاِنَّ لَكَ لَاَجْراً غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍۚ
|
68:4
Surely you are of superior morals.
وَاِنَّكَ لَعَلٰى خُلُقٍ عَظ۪يمٍ
|
68:5
You will see and they will see;
فَسَتُبْصِرُ وَيُبْصِرُونَۙ
|
68:6
Which of you is confused.
بِاَيِّكُمُ الْمَفْتُونُ
|
68:7
Your Lord knows best who has gone astray and knows best those who are on the right path.
اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ ضَلَّ عَنْ سَب۪يلِه۪ۖ وَهُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَد۪ينَ

68:8
So do not follow those who deny.
فَلَا تُطِعِ الْمُكَذِّب۪ينَ

68:9
They wanted you to compromise so that they might compromise.
وَدُّوا لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ
|
68:10
Do not follow any of them: the swearing, the vile,
وَلَا تُطِـعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍ مَه۪ينٍۙ
|
68:11
The slanderer, the bearer of words,
هَمَّازٍ مَشَّٓاءٍ بِنَم۪يمٍۙ
|
68:12
Obstructing goodness and help, aggressive, sinful.
مَنَّاعٍ لِلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ اَث۪يمٍۙ
|
68:13
Unkind and dishonest.
عُتُلٍّ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ زَن۪يمٍۙ
|
68:14
(Do not follow them) because they have wealth and children.
اَنْ كَانَ ذَا مَالٍ وَبَن۪ينَۜ
|
68:15
"When Our Verses are recited to him, he says: "Myth"."
اِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِ اٰيَاتُنَا قَالَ اَسَاط۪يرُ الْاَوَّل۪ينَ

68:16
We will mark his nose.
سَنَسِمُهُ عَلَى الْخُرْطُومِ
|
68:17
We tested them, just as We tested the owners of the garden. They had sworn that they would reap in the morning.
اِنَّا بَلَوْنَاهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَٓا اَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِۚ اِذْ اَقْسَمُوا لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِح۪ينَۙ

68:18
They had no doubt about that.
وَلَا يَسْتَثْنُونَ
|
68:19
While they were asleep, a visitor (a storm) sent by your Lord visited their garden.
فَطَافَ عَلَيْهَا طَٓائِفٌ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَهُمْ نَٓائِمُونَ
|
68:20
And the garden was left fruitless.
فَاَصْبَحَتْ كَالصَّر۪يمِ
