Ta-Ha - 20:10
"He saw a fire and he said to his family, "Stay here, I have seen a fire, lest I bring you some embers from it, or I find a guide near the fire."
Prophet Moses and his family:
The Stories/28:12
"We made him refuse to accept his wet-mothers beforehand. Finally (his sister) said, "Shall I show you a family for you who will take care of him and treat him well?"
The Stories/28:13
So We returned him to his mother so that his eyes may be enlightened and he may not grieve and he may know that the Word of Allah is true. But many do not know.
The Stories/28:14
When he reached the age of maturity, We gave him wisdom and knowledge, and thus do We reward those who do good.
The Stories/28:15
"He entered the city while his people were unaware. He saw two men fighting there, one from his side (Hebrew) and the other from the enemy´s side (Egyptian). The man from his side asked him for help against his enemy. So Moses struck the other with a blow and finished him off. He said, "This is the work of Satan; he is an enemy, a clear misleader."

"My Lord,"he said, "I have wronged myself, forgive me."And He forgave him. For He is Forgiving, Merciful."

"My Lord,"he said, "I will not help the guilty henceforth in return for the Blessing You have bestowed upon me."

"He spent the morning in the city in fear, looking around. The man who had asked him for help yesterday was crying out for help again. Moses said to him, "You are obviously a troublemaker."

"When he tried to catch their common enemy, he said, "Moses, do you want to kill me today, as you killed someone yesterday? You do not want to be righteous on the earth; you want to be a tyrant."

"A man came running from the other side of the city and said, "Moses, the elders are talking among themselves to kill you. Leave this place quickly; I am advising you."

"He fled from there in fear, watching the surroundings. He said: "My Lord, save me from this unjust people."

"When he turned toward Median, he said, "I hope my Lord will guide me to the truth."

"When he reached the water of Median, he found there a group of people watering their cattle. Behind them he saw two women being pushed and shoved. He said to them, "What do you want to do?""We cannot water until the shepherds water and leave. Our father is a very old man."
The Stories/28:24
"He watered for them, then withdrew into the shade and said, "My Lord, I am in need of whatever You will grant me."
The Stories/28:25
"Soon one of them came to him, ashamed, and said, "My father wants to pay you for watering for us."When he met him and told him what had happened to him, he said, "Do not be afraid,"he said, "You have been saved from the oppressors."

"One of them said, "My father, give him work. He is the best of those you have hired; he is strong and trustworthy."
The Stories/28:27
"He said, "I want to marry you to one of my daughters on condition that you work for me for eight pilgrimages. You can make it ten (years) if you wish. I do not want to cause you any hardship. If Allah wills, you will find me a righteous person."

"He said, "This is a contract between you and me. Whatever term I fulfill, there will be no enmity against me. Allah is the guarantor of what we have spoken."

"When Moses fulfilled that term and set out with his family, he saw a fire on the slope of Tur and said to his family, "Stay here, I have seen a fire; perhaps I will bring you news of it or a fire-wood so that you may warm yourselves with it."
The Stories/28:30
"When he reached there, he was called out to him from the edge of the right slope in the holy place where the (burning) tree was: "Moses, I am Allah, the Lord of the Universe."
The Stories/28:31
"Throw your staff."When he saw it quivering like a serpent, he turned and fled without looking back. "Moses, return, do not fear, you are safe."
The Stories/28:32
Put your hand in your bosom, and it will come out perfectly white. Fold down your wings, which are spread in fear. These two are two proofs from your Lord to Pharaoh and his leading party. They have been a people who have gone astray.
The Stories/28:33
"He said, "My Lord, I had killed one of them. I fear that they will kill me."
The Stories/28:34
Besides, my brother Aaron speaks better than me. Send him with me as a helper to support me. I fear that they will deny me.
The Stories/28:35
"He said, "We will strengthen your biceps with your brother and give you both such authority that they will not be able to touch you. You two and those who follow you will triumph by Our miracles."
The Stories/28:36
"When Moses went to them with clear signs and miracles, they said: "This is only a fabricated magic. We have not heard of such a thing from our forefathers before."
The Stories/28:37
"Moses said, "My Lord knows well who is the one who comes with a guidance from Him and who will be victorious in the end. The wrongdoers will never succeed."
The Stories/28:38
"Pharaoh said, "O you elders, I do not know a better god for you than I. Haman, prepare bricks for me by kindling a fire in the clay and build a tower so that I may reach the God of Moses. I believe that he is a liar."
The Stories/28:3
We have related to you a part of the story of Moses and Pharaoh in truth for a people who believe.
The Stories/28:4
Pharaoh acted despotically in the land. He divided his people into classes, oppressing and exploiting one group of them, keeping their daughters alive and slaughtering their sons. He was a corrupter.
The Stories/28:5
We favored those who were weakened and oppressed on the earth, that We might make them leaders and heirs.
The Stories/28:6
And establish them on the earth, and show Pharaoh and Haman and their armies what they feared.
The Stories/28:7
"To Moses´ mother: "Breastfeed him, but whenever you fear for his safety, throw him into the river. Do not fear, do not grieve. We will return him to you and make him one of the messengers."
The Stories/28:8
Finally, Pharaoh´s family took the baby who would be an enemy and a source of sorrow for them. Pharaoh and Haman and their armies were the guilty ones.
The Stories/28:9
"Pharaoh´s wife said, "May our eyes be enlightened. Do not kill him. Perhaps he will be of use to us, or we may adopt him as a son."They knew nothing of anything."
The Stories/28:10
Moses´ mother´s heart was empty. Had We not strengthened her heart to believe, she would almost have revealed the situation
The Stories/28:11
"He said to his sister, "Watch him."So she watched him from afar without anyone noticing."
